More like AI gone rampage.
And yeah. It was programmed to like blood, smell of blood, sound of blood hitting walls, colour of blood, tears, sounds of suffering, swinging melee weapons at creatures while still barely avoiding vitals, cut limbs and chocolate. And it also has bondage fetish.
To put it simply AI is more like ultimate abusive sadist. It seems that the banana peels activated it's rampage mode and there for cut all connection with my control network.

now were there something else you should know....

...ah yes.... It drains life force out of blood and chocolate.
