The school computers in Finland are either old or new with minimal hardware.
Unless if it's in class room that's subject requires more kick.

Not possible on public computer due router firewall blocks them.
I used to play with few of my friends in school LAN and that was fun except my over powering victory due experience as alien player.
About missing server list. Make sure:
-you are not viewing LAN or Favorites category.
-windows firewall doesn't block it. (although might be hard to change if not administrator  )
It also might be the regular -1 servers error that i often see. It's pretty much random so can't help if it's that.
