Camping Rules

A.t.m. it's a bit vague as to what camping really is and how it should be punished. Mostly aliens cry that humans camp because they don't feed the alien's goon enough. Humans cry that aliens camp right outside their base and that they're calling the humans campers. As of now I would like to inforce this rule:

Although camping IS v. annoying, it's a tactic. leave them be.
Although EXCESSIVE camping (a.k.a. staying in base without needing to and not doing anything useful like i.e: Building, defending for over fifteen minutes while NOT afk), should be punished by horribly mauling, maiming and shouting at the offender just before kicking his ass off our bit of bitspace.

If people camp i build/decon and rebuild for the lolz/disconnect/lolz/camp/get annoyed and hit things/lol at the things iv hit/lol at the campers/kill teh campers/decon om and go OMFG SOME ONE DECONNED OM then rebuild om so i can waste time and get evos/win some how.

Camping is a valid strategy, though a terribly boring one. I make it a point to camp as little as possible, and usually end up massively feeding as a result. But dat's okay as long as I'm not teamed with someone who's trying to play seriously. (*pokes archy* Razz

)

My opinion: Leave 'em be. If you'd like, you can tell them that it's boring, but there's no reason why they shouldn't be allowed to do it?

Leave them be is my opinion too.
S1 humans should be camping anyway if goon is spotted.
S2 humies just need to be afraid s3 type aliens.
S3 humans need camping only if creds are low on the team (everyone needs best gear for rush so that they won't feed needlessly).

Aliens usually lose if they try to camp. Especially if they are low on evos.

Added to that list: a single player may always camp. Especially if he's up against more than one opponent.

I do think camping is a 100% valid stratagy. There ARE situations though, where it is actually valid to start faulting people for doing so. For example, when there's only a dretch and the human is too lazy to go get it, then they can be called a newb.

Provided they're not doing something else.

Note, the key word was lazy.

Would you not camp in next stisuation?:

Aliens 1k short from s3 and has 1 player as dretch but with many kills (high chance of possessing more than enough evos).
humans S1 and YOU are only human. You have 1k short from s2.

1 Player: 4 kills to s2, 8 kills to s3
2 players: 6 kills to s2 12 kills to s3
etc.

Also my strategy is mostly just kamikaza regardless of what's out there x3
