I purpose that Cebt gets its own server which shall be maintained by a third party.
Prices are around $18 p/m for a 12 player server.
I will be the first to help finance the project and I will supply £5 (out of the £11 required) to have a full time and maintained Cebt server.
Options:
http://www.mercenariesguild.net/hosting
http://www.noghost.net/hosting/#
-GJ
Quick Update:
Merc Guild Ping for me (Scotland) = 146 (hmmmm)
Noghost = 36 (Good)
It's hosted in London, so should be very good for Netherlands, France, Ger etc. Funland should be good aswell |

The new (Cebt)MilkingGrounds is now active and will be online 24/7.
This is a trial month. |

Dear 22GrandJob,
We have a server called (Cebt)Milking Grounds which should runs 24/7. I've recently switched to a new hosting computer and that's the reason why the uptime was so low. That, and the fact the server remains empty for so long which only eats away the resources of the other servers I'm hosting.
Now you bought a trail month from a 3th party and named it the same as the server we have now. Looking at those links we are getting seriously nerfed since my server package, which includes stock, ambush, arcade and benmachine's, is ~2.5GIG. A lot more then we get from the package you offer. Also we won't get enough slots to even use ambush anymore. Also I sincerely doubt you will put the same time and effort I put into making the server work, by compiling my own .QVM's, constantly updating the server and making sure everything stays up-to-date. Looking at the package I doubt it would even be possible at all with those hosts.
Without consulting with either the leaders of (Cebt) or the person who always hosted this server you bought a trail month and named it the same as the server we have now. I find this very rude to me, as the person who works on the server for 2 years straight now, and to the members of (Cebt) who, because of your actions, are stuck with a server which is less then the one we had. I'm not putting mine on while there is a server with the same name running and unfortunally I don't have the time to wait a month or so before this trail runs out. I had everything ready to keep our 3 servers up 24/7 but I won't, and can't, do that now anymore.
You may be the one who founded (Cebt) but I am one of the persons who kept it alive all this time.
Kind regards,
FxArch _________________

I appreciate the attempt to help the clan, I over reacted, and I Apologize for it.
But once again as my Later post says, This clan has more than one leader. And In the future a little bit of Fore-warning would be much appreciated.
Think before we act, hmm? I think we should all do so in the future, Me included. _________________

This wasn't meant to cause any offence. I was going to rent a server if you wanted me to or not. I am opening my options into ways of low maintenance finance for myself. The only reason I involved Cebt is because I thought you would appreciate this gesture as I had been told you were experiencing problems. I informed Glunnator (Leader) and requested to name the server accordingly. Glunnator seemed very pleased and stated that I was more than welcome to reclaim my status in Cebt. Even though I would not be very active. I was not trying to usurp your position Arch and I did not leave Cebt to die.... as stated by Nam. You've taken a gesture of kindness and immediately assumed it was an attack.

I'm not angry at you after reading this Grand. It seemed like, out of nowhere, you decided to start doing my job which I worked 2 years on. If you indeed talked to Glunnator about this and he gave you permission to start hosting this server without consulting with Whitebear and me, the ones who are working on everything technical, including the server, new website and forums, then my problem lies with him and not with you.
Also I find it very strange that one member decides if someone is in or not. I thought we all had a saying in who joins or not. Especially since White, me and Eternal are also the "leaders" of (Cebt). _________________

I've been talking to Glunn for even earlier than most/all of you, so I also have a mutual friendship there and a degree of trust. I'm guessing he knows that I would not do anything to intentionally hurt or offend anyone. Last night I indeed asked for glunns permission to name the server after Cebt. And upon him offering me back into Cebt, we decided to post in the clan application page where you and your fellow clan members could evaluate etc. So Glun has not been doing anything behind anyones back etc.
I feel a few of you still have some problems with me, even though I'm just a normal guy. So application withdrawn and server down.
All the best,
Grand. |

I don't care who has talked to who.
This is a clan, with more than one leader, and they all have to decide on things. There are 3 leaders, 3 of them, and then 2 very senior members who's opinions should count, Quiet a lot in any decision that is being made.
So please, for future reference, remember that. _________________

I don't have any problems with you since I don't even know you. The only thing I dislike is the fact that suddenly a server popped up which should be hosted by me. The harsh reactions to it consists mostly because (Cebt)Milking Grounds is the reason some of us still play tremulous. But as explained by you a moment ago it was just a misunderstanding. I even encourage having a server next to (Cebt)Milking Grounds and would even help you with it. Only not as a replacement for (Cebt)Milking Grounds but as a new server altogether. _________________

Surely I'm not the only one who thinks that this is getting out of hand. Although I may be considered an outsider when it comes to this specific topic of conversation but I wonder on why there is such a bad relationship with GrandJob. I think that those with a problem should at least talk this out publicly or privately.
EDIT: left this tab open for a while since i was occupied (so people probably posted in that time) _________________ It's funny when you go to uni in slippers. |

*sigh*
You people are overreacting. Why can't anyone see how generous this man is for giving us a temporary server while our own is temporarily down?
Anyone who's got trouble with it, I invite to talk to me asap. _________________ "Sometimes the only way to be truly angry is to be so happy, everyone within a 5 mile radius is creeped out." -Invertin

Nobody got any problems with it I just saw a server come up with the name of my server on it. It looked, in my view atleast, like Grand took over the serverness business while infact he was being very generous. Like I said I even encourage the idea of having another server on a seperate host. Saves me a lot of money. Only not under the same name. If you name it (Cebt)Cow's Field for example I would even be willing to help set everything up _________________

Glun... Such decisions are the ones "staff" was created for...
I spoke with Grand'Pa today and I think the idea of Plan B server is good. When arch does not have server up or it mysteriously crashes we could just go to the 24/7 server to have fun. Also when we play planed fun time with people who have high ping on arch's server we could just go see if the Plan B server works better for them... No disrespect or offence intended to to either of the kind server hosts. I personally prefer arch's server for some reason... But Plan B is good idea and method to get me playing when arch is away or just can't have the server up.
Many times I've heard "I am bored." ^^ *wink*
Ironically we could call the server: (Cebt)Plan B _________________ <- free iPhone
